Welcome to Hero Shrew fitness. You're probably thinking why Hero Shrew?
The Hero Shrew is the only mammal which has a

We simply cannot function and enjoy a full and pain free life without good spinal health.
My philosophy is to strengthen every bone, joint, and muscle in the body (including the hands and feet) to support a strong, stable and supple spine
"A Man Is Only As Young As His Spinal Column"-a famous quote from Joseph Pilates the creator of the Pilates Method- originally known as Contrology.

My fitness knowledge spans over 23 years in which time I've qualified in a wide variety of fitness styles, including some weird and wonderful passing trends.
I've had the privilege of overseeing two large studio time tables in seperate fitness clubs and lead a great team of Instructors. I have also qualified as a trainer and assessor to teach others to become Pilates teachers.
I really believe in the power of group exercise, it has many benefits, however a more personal hands on approach to training means that the exercises can be specific for the individual needs and goals of the client.

Health and a fulfilling life is my personal approach to my own fitness, something I am passionate to share with others. I practice what I preach and train six days a week in all the methods that I offer my clients. This enables me to feel the same responses my clients will feel.
I believe everybody can exercise and every body can exercise-my oldest client is 88 years young!
Imparting my knowledge of why they are doing the exercise and understanding what it is for is a key factor in educating my clients not only in their bodies but in their minds too.

Whether you are recovering after surgery, have an ongoing issue with pain or rigidity, if you regulary partake in a sports specific activity such as tennis, golf, football, rugby, running, swimming and want to progress and reach a higher potential or simply want a better quality of life, through Functional Training-Free Weights, Calisthenics, Yoga and Pilates nothing is impossible and anything is achievable. Age is of no consequence either as it's never too late to start!
